Effective January 1, 2022, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) adopted a new rule 2305 that will focus on the “indirect sources” of emissions from vehicles moving in and out of large facilities in Southern California. These measurements will start at facilities 250,000 square feet and above in 2022 and will reduce in footprint each consecutive year. The expectation is that companies like STG will invest in green initiatives that will reduce emissions throughout their facilities. Significant fees will be assessed throughout this process.
Below is a link that provides details into this new program:
STG Logistics is committed to implementing these green initiatives and is in the process of working through plans and costs to be in compliance. Over the coming weeks, we will continue to keep everyone updated on our progress.
