NOTICE: ILA Strike Impacts U.S. Port Operations
Dear Business Partner,
The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the U.S. Maritime Alliance (USMX) did not reach a resolution, and their contract is now expired. Approximately 50,000 ILA union longshoremen walked off the job today at the ports in the East and Gulf coasts, from New England to Texas.
This situation impacted our operations yesterday and is expected to escalate once port operations resume with delays, port congestion, and backlog. During this time, STG Logistics will not be responsible for charges caused by the work stoppage.
