NOTICE: Strike Ends at the East and Gulf Coasts Ports
Dear Business Partner,
The strike that started on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at the East and Gulf Coasts ports ended this Thursday, October 3rd, as the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the U.S. Maritime Alliance (USMX) reached a tentative agreement on wages and to extend the current contract until January 15th, 2025.
The strike impacted our operations this week and is expected to escalate with delays, port congestion, and backlog as port operations resume this Friday with 45,000 U.S. dockworkers returning to work.
Please kindly note, STG Logistics will not be responsible for charges caused by the work stoppage.
