The History of STG Logistics
Our Story
STG Logistics began as a warehousing company and expanded nationally through strategic acquisitions. Today, we are North America’s top provider of integrated port-to-door solutions including CFS and transloading, contract logistics, drayage, intermodal, over-the-road and less-than-truckload services.
The Beginnings
St. George Logistics was founded in 1985, headquartered in South Kearny, New Jersey.
Wind Point Partners
Wind Point Partners acquires St. George Logistics.
Dura Freight & AZ CFS
St. George acquired Dura Freight, based in Walnut, California, and AZ CFS, based in Linden, New Jersey.
Neutralogistics
St. George acquired Neutralogistics, located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Extra Express
St. George acquired Extra Express, located in Walnut, California.
Channel Distribution
St. George acquired Channel Distribution, based in Bensenville, Illinois.
Freight Force & Summit NW Corp
St. George acquired Freight Force, based in Anaheim, California, and Summit NW Corp based in Kent, Washington.
The New STG Logistics
STG Logistics’ new logo and brand is revealed. The new identity was born from the acquisition of strategic companies with the vision of “One Team = One Company = STG Logistics.”
Veeco
STG acquired Veeco, based in North Bergen, New Jersey, to consolidate STG’s NJ operations into Veeco’s existing framework.
Arrowpac
STG acquired Arrowpac, located in Secaucus, New Jersey.
IWS
STG acquired IWS Logistics, based in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
XPO Logistics
STG acquired XPO Intermodal, adding 40 new locations and approximately 700 employees.
Frontline Freight, Clear Lane
STG acquired Frontline Freight, located in the City of Industry, California and Clear Lane Logistics, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Best Dedicated Solutions
STG acquired Best Dedicated Solutions, located in Vernon Hills, Illinois.
