NOTICE: Congestion at the Ports of New Jersey and New York
As anticipated due to the recent New Jersey/New York port closures, upon reopening we have been experiencing significant backlogs at the terminals. This is impacting import pick-ups, empty returns, and empty pick-ups for exports.
As a result, delays and missed appointments may occur despite our team’s continued efforts to stay on schedule. We expect these conditions to continue through next week as the terminals work through the accumulated backlog.
Please note that STG will not be responsible for any demurrage, per diem, or missed cut-offs resulting from these terminal closures and the subsequent congestion.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue doing everything possible to minimize disruptions.
