NOTICE: Notice: World Cup Implications
Please be advised that significant traffic disruptions are expected tomorrow due to the World Cup event being held at MetLife Stadium. These conditions are expected to impact drayage operations throughout the North Bergen area, local terminals, and surrounding roadways.
Please review the following updates:
- Turnpike Exit 16E North, our primary route to the port terminals, is expected to be closed for most of the day.
- Turnpike Exit 17 South is expected to be closed for most of the day.
- Import container pickups and deliveries may experience significant delays due to increased traffic congestion.
- IPI ingate services may also be impacted, resulting in extended transit times and revised ETAs.
Export container and ingate service will also be limited
Please note that traffic conditions related to the World Cup event are outside of STG North Bergen’s control. While our team will make every effort to maintain normal service levels, customers should expect delays in container retrievals, deliveries, and overall transit times.
We encourage customers to plan accordingly and communicate these potential delays to their consignees and partners. STG cannot guarantee container availability, pickup times, delivery appointments, ingates, or normal transit schedules due to the extraordinary traffic conditions expected around the event.
Furthermore, STG will not be responsible for any additional charges, storage, demurrage, detention, per diem, delays, missed appointments or cut offs, extended transit times, or other costs incurred as a result of traffic disruptions related to the World Cup event.
