NOTICE: Port of Oakland Marine Terminals Closure
The terminals at the Port of Oakland, CA are currently closed today, July 21, 2026, due to a reported labor action by International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Local 10 longshore workers. The workers have reportedly walked off the job at the port in support of ILWU Local 6 warehouse employees at the C&H Sugar (Levin Richmond Terminal) facility in Richmond, California.
The Local 6 workers have been on strike since June 15, 2026, over ongoing contract renewal negotiations. The solidarity action has disrupted cargo operations in Richmond and resulted in the closure of all container marine terminals at the Port of Oakland.
