NOTICE: CBP Notification Requirements for IPI Shipments into Charleston

Dear Business Partner,
Effective February 3, 2025, the Port of Charleston will require all in-bond IPI shipments to be reported via email to 1601InBond@CBP.DHS.GOV before freight can be released from the bonded facility.
CBP will review the information within two business days and notify STG if further action is needed. If no response is received, shipments may proceed. Should a physical inspection be required, a hold will be placed in ACE, visible to brokers.
We want to assure you that we are already fully in compliance with this new process. We have met with CBP and have established reporting procedures in accordance with this requirement.
CBP has advised we may begin to see this requirement at additional CFS locations across the Continental United States. STG will monitor and ensure compliance as needed.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local STG representative
