Standing still is the fastest way of moving backward in an ever-changing world.

If there was one thing that STG didn’t do this year, it was standing still. From opening new facilities, participating in several industry trade shows, or our most important news of the year, acquiring the intermodal division of XPO, STG has kept moving forward. The integration of the intermodal business into STG and the launch of our fleet of owned and branded 53′ intermodal containers has set us on track to be the only port-to-door logistic provider in the United States.

It hasn’t just been about what we have done to expand our business and offerings to our clients. It is also about what we have done for our people – and what our people have done for their communities – that continues to underscore why our motto is: “Our people are the difference.”

When Hurricane Ian struck Florida, STG’s very own Rolando Echeverria launched a relief drive to help our employees and the people in his community. We were pleased to support him in this effort, with donations pouring in from across the company and elsewhere. Operating across the country, STG employees actively seek to make an impact on where we operate and where our employees live and work.

As a company, we are committed to our people’s growth, advancement, and recognition. We’re proud of people like Susan Guarino, who was recognized by and is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals. Our diversity makes us a stronger company, bringing a multitude of ways to be a better vendor for our clients and a great place to work for individuals looking to build a career in logistics.

2022 has seen supply chains switch from an unprecedented, pandemic-fueled pace during the second half of 2020 and 2021 to a return to near-normal levels. Capacity backlogs that plagued Pacific ports are nowhere to be seen right now, and supply chains have diversified even more into the Gulf and up and down the eastern seaboard.

Looking ahead to 2023, STG will increase its visibility on roads, rails, and at warehouse doors. We have aggressive growth plans for our transloading product. Shippers who harness the combined strength of our warehouses, technology, drayage power, intermodal equipment, and contracts will even further optimize their omnichannel supply chains.

We’ll be visible at high-profile industry events in 2023, including RILA in January, TPM in February, where we are a Gold Partner, and our return to IANA in September. Be sure to come and check out one of our new intermodal boxes, which will be onsite.

STG wishes everyone a very Happy Holiday and New Year and looks forward to an exciting 2023.
