Cutting Miles, Cutting Emissions
One of our most significant environmental achievements in 2024 was reducing more than 1.3 million empty miles through smarter route optimization. This milestone exemplifies our commitment to reducing emissions while increasing operational efficiency.
By minimizing empty miles, we reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and lower our (and by extension our customers’) carbon footprint—a win-win for both sustainability and performance. These efforts are supported by daily planning tools and advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, which enable data-driven decisions to minimize environmental impact.
Governance That Reflects Our Values
Our commitment to governance is reflected in the formation of an ESG & Safety Committee of our Board of Directors. This body ensures that sustainability and risk management are embedded at the highest levels of the organization, with quarterly reporting and a rigorous annual review cycle. The committee’s role is to make sure that environmental and governance goals aren’t sidelined—even in times of business pressure.
This governance mindset also extends to emerging risks, including cybersecurity. We treat digital safety with the same urgency as physical safety, recognizing that it only takes a single incident to compromise years of effort and vigilance. Our governance practices are evolving alongside these risks to ensure resilience and integrity across the organization.
